Career Opportunities

At Rinri, we believe that cell therapies have the potential to transform the treatment of some of the most intractable human diseases and conditions and improve the quality of life of millions of people around the world.

We believe that cell therapy is ideally suited to the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that affects >400 million people across the world. A condition for which there are no disease-modifying therapeutics and results in poor patient outcomes.

We are now focused on rapidly industrialising our hearing loss therapeutic technology,  and are building a team to deliver an ambitious program of work to bring the benefits of our therapy to patients as quickly as possible.

To do this, we are building a team of biotechnology pioneers with extensive scientific, product development, and commercial experience and combining this with the support of globally recognised ATMP and clinical development experts.

We need the best talent to join us on this adventure, to break ground, and venture into new therapeutic territory in order to achieve something that has never been done before.

Rinri offers the ability to develop a career within a unique and pioneering UK biotechnology company, joining an ambitious and multi-skilled team to meet a high unmet clinical need, with the ability to make a material difference to your colleagues, collaborators and to the patients we aim to serve.

Senior Scientist/Scientist (Ref RINS01)

Permanent Position

Sheffield, UK

Recruitment starting in June 2021

Why Rinri Therapeutics?

Rinri Therapeutics is a cutting-edge biotechnology company based in Sheffield (UK) dedicated to developing a completely new cell therapy paradigm to treat hearing loss. Our science originates from the world-renowned Stem Cell Institute at the University of Sheffield and the world-leading research from Professor Marcelo Rivolta on pluripotent and progenitor cells (see Chen et al., 2012 doi: 10.1038/nature11415). Since our inception in late-2018, we have secured nearly £15million in funding. We have established a world-class team to realise the vision of meeting unmet patient and clinical needs in hearing loss and improving patients’ quality of life on a global scale.

Rinri has a small, ambitious and multi-skilled entrepreneurial team with extensive scientific, product development, and commercial experience combined with a core support team of globally recognised ATMP development and clinical otology experts. We are now seeking to bring our lead product, a stem cell therapy for auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder, to clinical trials.

We are rapidly industrialising our technology and building our proposition. We are now looking to build a team of scientists to work closely with our collaborators at the University of Sheffield, to help drive forward the translation of our lead product and build the product pipeline.

We are offering the ability to develop a career within a truly pioneering UK biotechnology company looking to realise the long-promised potential of cell therapy to improve patients’ lives.
